Has anyone used deck boards as fence pickets ...

I'm planning a fence project similar to the one described here. However, I prefer the visual depth of a board-on-board design. If I used 5/8" pickets, then my trim board (3/4") and rail (3/2") would sit flush with the 4"x4" post, but pickets tend to warp and twist over time. So, instead of using 1"x6" boards, I'd like to use 5/4" deck boards.
